Reminder: BCSD schools and offices are closed tomorrow, February 19, in honor of Presidents' Day!

A special thank you to all of the families who joined us for STEAM night! There were so many activities for our students to explore! What a fun event!

#DYK February is Love The Bus Month and this week is Bus Driver Appreciation Week? Our bus drivers and bus monitors play a critical role in ensuring our students get to school safely. Take a moment to thank them for their hard work this week! #makingapositivedifference #lovethebus

Our school counselors help our students succeed and always make a positive difference in our schools! Take a moment to thank a school counselor this week for National School Counseling Week! #NSCW24 #makingapositivedifference

Kindergarten students in Mrs. R. Jones' class love going to their book boxes, especially when they get to read to each other! Students have flourished this year as they have worked to apply their knowledge of phonics to make connections between letters and sounds to become readers. Way to go!

Never miss a message from your child's teacher or an important school update again! Enable notifications in the Berkeley County School District app to stay connected to anything and everything BCSD.

Our teachers are LOVED! Dozens of our students asked to fill out thank you cards for their teachers tonight while we were at the SC Stingrays game!

Please save the date and make plans to join us at the CBE Spring Carnival!

Due to forecasts for continued severe weather resulting in area power outages, and concerns regarding impacts on roads and facilities throughout the evening, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) schools and offices will operate on a 2-hour weather delay on Wednesday, January 10.
There will be no before school care programs, but after school programs and athletics will resume normal operations on Wednesday.
Bus riders will report to bus stops two hours later than their regularly scheduled time. Information concerning school start times and bell schedules when operating on a 2-hour weather delay is available on the BCSD website here: https://www.bcsdschools.net/o/bcsd/page/school-bell-schedules.
District officials are continuing to work closely with the Berkeley County Emergency Management Department, local power providers, and law enforcement to monitor the weather and potential impact on the county. Officials are also receiving regular updates from the National Weather Service.
As safety and security is our number one priority, all decisions are made with the safety of students, staff, and families in mind.

Due to the potential for severe weather on Tuesday, January 9, Berkeley County School District (BCSD) announced that students will learn from home and complete eLearning Day assignments on Tuesday. All schools and offices will be closed Tuesday. Schools and offices will resume normal operations on Wednesday, January 10.
